Johnston Houston has been providing Building Surveying services to the Asset Manager, Ellandi, at Bloomfield Shopping Centre since the acquisition of the Centre in 2016. Following initial Technical Due Diligence and the preparation of an Acquisition Building Survey Report, Johnston Houston has been retained to implement Planned Preventative Maintenance Works. In 2017 Johnston Houston acted as Building Surveyor and Contract Administrator for backlog maintenance works including reroofing and car park surface repairs and replacement. In 2018 further roofing works and planned preventative maintenance have been completed along with adhoc repairs taking the value of maintenance works completed at Centre to £700,000.00. The programme of planned maintenance continues and a 5 year programme of implementation is expected.

The scope of our instructions at the Centre have diversified into a field of Dilapidations. We have successfully secured a number of dilapidation settlements on behalf of the Landlord following amicable negotiations with outgoing tenants.
