Johnston Houston was instructed in August 2022 by the Landlord of Crown Bar, The National Trust, to undertake a comprehensive building survey in advance of preparation of an Interim Schedule of Dilapidations for service on the Tenant.
Our survey work was undertaken in the Autumn 2022 of this iconic Victorian building which was built in the 1820’s originally as a gin palace. We collaborated with a series of specialists with unique heritage conservation experience and ultimately prepared a comprehensive Interim Schedule of Dilapidations for informal service on the Tenant.
Presently, our collaboration process with the Tenant is ongoing and Johnston Houston has been engaged to agree and programme backlog maintenance works. Johnston Houston will monitor the completion of these works on behalf of the Landlord through to a successful conclusion.
We anticipate that this ongoing dilapidations process will continue through 2023 and will ensure that the structure and fabric of this unique property does not fall into disrepair.
