Johnston Houston was instructed in April 2018 by the selling Agent of Metro Building to undertake a comprehensive Technical Building Survey and report on behalf of the Vendor for a Purchaser of the building to rely on. This Vendor’s Building Survey included a detailed inspection and review of the structure, fabric and engineering services and we also introduced an assessment of potential tenants’ dilapidations liability, completed a fire insurance valuation, measured survey and prepared NIA calculations.
The sale of this prestigious seven storey City Centre office building was successfully completed in Autumn 2018 and Johnston Houston have been retained as Building Surveying Consultant by the Purchaser. We are currently acting as Party Wall Surveyor on behalf of the Managing Agent of Metro Building regarding the redevelopment of the adjacent building in Donegall Square South. A detailed photographic and written Schedule of Condition has been agreed with the adjacent Building Owner and our instructions have been extended to acting as Monitoring Surveyor throughout the duration of the adjacent redevelopment project.
