Appointed by The MAC as part of a multi-disciplinary team following an international design contest, Johnston Houston provided Quantity Surveying and CDM Co-ordinator Consultancy Services for the £ 12m purpose built Arts Performance and Exhibition space in the heart of the Cathedral Quarter, Belfast.
The completed facilities provide two major performance spaces, three galleries, including a closed control gallery, studios, workshops and education space, together with cafe, bar, retail and associated back of house areas such as offices, dressing rooms and green rooms. The unique accommodation consists of approximately 5,497m2 (59,170 ft2) over eight storeys in a confined city centre location. A two stage procurement process was used to select the preferred contractor.
