Johnston Houston received instructions from Tifco Group in 2016 to provide Project Services and consultancy advice in connection with the conversion of Parliament Hotel and redevelopment of Fashion House Building to create a new 119 bedroom 4 star hotel under the Hard Rock brand. The Hotel is due to open in early 2020.
Located on Lord Edward Street, opposite City Hall, the hotel will comprise 2 buildings – the red brick Exchange Building which dates from 1912 and was previous the location for the Parliament Hotel and the adjacent Fashion House which will be completely rebuilt to provide the main reception and bedroom accommodation. A new glass link bridge will connect the properties.
Despite the challenges of this City Centre location, this Design and Build project is set to open as planned in February 2020 and Johnston Houston are delighted to be acting for Tifco Group on this unique and exciting hotel project.
