The proposed Hamilton Dock Hotel/Aparthotel is located on a site at Hamilton Dock, off Queens Road in the Titanic Quarter, Belfast. It is situated adjacent to two of Northern Ireland’s top tourist attractions, Titanic Belfast and SS Nomadic. Our developer client, JMK Group, has extensive experience in investing in hotels and sites across Ireland and the UK. This site will be the Group’s first location in Northern Ireland and having selected Johnston Houston as its Project Consultant, we are delighted to be working on this prestigious hotel development comprising of 135 hotel beds branded as Mariott Aloft suites, along with 93 Aparthotel beds branded as Mariott Residence Inn suites. After a 2 stage tendering process, Farrans Construction have recently been engaged under a Pre-Construction Services Agreement to complete initial site works, ground remediation and an Archaeology Programme of Works, in advance of piling operations which are due to commence in March 2024. Procured as a Design and Build project, Johnston Houston will be continuing its role as Employers Agent, Cost Consultant and Project Manager over the duration of the construction of this turnkey hotel development, which is expected to open in early 2026.
